Jim Cyr, Spiritual Companion
Jim has been on a spiritual journey since age five when he had one of many deeply moving experiences of God’s presence. He has ministered as a Minister of Christian Education, Pastor, a jail, and hospice chaplain. Jim has worked with all kinds of people from all walks of life from all religious traditions. He is a 2019 sendee of the Center for Action and Contemplation’s Living School and a certified spiritual director through the Christos Center for Spiritual Formation., Jim listens deeply and nonjudgmentally with one ear to the Divine and one ear to the person in front of him seeking to hear what arises from the heart of God and in the heart of the person he is companioning. Jim companions people who are seeking a deeper connection with God, who wish to enhance their prayer life, who have questions about God, faith, life, and death. A student of the Christian mystics, Jim’s spirituality is rooted in the Christian contemplative tradition.
Jim Cyr, Storyteller
Jim Cyr has been a storyteller since 1991, telling folktales, fairytales, biblical and sacred stories. in churches, libraries, jails, First Night celebrations, social clubs, and schools. Jim is a member of the Pennsylvania Patchwork Storytelling Guild and has told stories at the Ice House in Bethlehem. Jim is a certified Biblical storyteller through the Network of Biblical Storytellers, International. He tells Scripture by heart and uses his storytelling skills in preaching and teaching.
